Imperial Valley Student Health Initiative

Many Imperial Valley citizens find themselves having to travel outside the community to recieve quality or specialty care, with one of the closest being Sharp Grossment Hospital (~102 mi), highlighting the reality of living in a healthcare desert. Limited access to nearby hospitals and specialists can delay critical treatment, worsen chronic conditions, and place added financial and emotional strain on families. Expanding local healthcare access isn’t just about convenience, it’s about equity, timely care, and protecting the long-term health of the community, as many people do not have the resources to make this trip! #imperialvalley #communityhealth #elcentro #imperial #brawley #calexico #imperialcounty

Over 100 kids were invited to Cody's Closet's annual event & got free supplies, clothes, & even beds. There was also lots of fun activities & raffles. Thank you to all who showed up with us!
